Beyoncé has donated $2.5 million to the Los Angeles Fire Relief Fund through her charitable foundation, BeyGOOD, to support families in the Altadena and Pasadena areas who have lost their homes due to the ongoing wildfires. The donation will also assist local churches and community centers in addressing the immediate needs of those affected.
This contribution comes shortly after Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, revealed that she lost her Malibu home in the fires. Other celebrities, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Guest, and Kim Kardashian's brand Skims, have also contributed to the relief efforts.
The wildfires, which began on January 7 in the Pacific Palisades, have claimed at least 24 lives, led to mass evacuations, and caused significant property loss.
