ICC Issues Arrest Warrants Amid Palestine War Crimes Investigation

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has intensified its investigation into alleged war crimes in Palestine since June 2014, including actions by the Israeli military, Hamas, and other Palestinian groups. The inquiry covers violations such as the establishment of illegal Israeli settlements, targeting civilians, and hostilities during the 2014 Gaza War. Recent accusations, dating from October 2023, cite crimes by Israeli leaders, including starvation, murder, and persecution, and by Hamas leaders, including extermination and hostage-taking.

On November 21, 2024, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Hamas leader Mohammed Deif (deceased in an Israeli airstrike). Israel disputes the ICC's jurisdiction, labeling the investigation "antisemitic" and taking measures to counter the court's actions.
