Monkeypox

A case of the monkeypox virus, which has spread worldwide, was first reported in London. There have been many cases of mpox (monkeypox) reported from non-endemic nations since early May 2022. In contrast to West or Central Africa, where the mpox virus is prevalent, the majority of verified patients with travel histories indicated travel to nations in Europe and North America. While clinically less severe than smallpox, monkeypox is a viral zoonosis (a virus that spreads from animals to people). It has symptoms that are comparable to those of smallpox. The monkeypox virus has been shown to affect several animal species.
